Light Path Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) hands-on organization established to help Third World countries like Haiti by providing health care, Education, food, clothing, drinkable water, housing, and sustainable economic development. Light Path, head-quartered in Worcester, MA, has served cities and towns such as Port-Au-Prince, Dikini, Carrefour, Loagane and last Petit – Goave, Haiti in which we also have a base of operation. Light Path is made-up of individuals with high integrity and morals. Light Paths ultimate goal is to show the love of God by serving others and 120% of the donations it receives go directly to the people of Haiti.

Light Path Inc., partnered with Mothers for Africa, has long-term objectives and mission in Haiti with plans to build a development center and community health clinic. In the long run, there are goals are to establish housing development and agriculture. For this reason Light Path is always looking to expand by looking for individuals throughout the US from every professional category to donate their time and knowledge in raising funds, to participate and volunteer on the mission trips – all for the realization of these goals for the people of Haiti. Light Path has partnered and worked with different organizations during its previous trips such as USAID, Children’s Charity based in Washington, DC, Mothers for Africa, based in Altadena, California, International Commission of Inquiry on Haiti, Mrs. Colia Clark who coordinates CATH Autonomous Workers Unions based in New York and who was also a former Senatorial Candidate for New York City. As an organization, we have been fulfilling our short-term goals of providing medical aid/treatment and distributing medical supplies to different hospitals, medical clinics, feeding the hungry, providing drinkable water to the people, helping to provide clothing and shelter through the donation of tents, tarps and sleeping bags.

On January 20, 2010, Light Path was one of the first non-profit organization groups, from the US, who was there in Haiti to answer to the immediate needs of the people, one week after the catastrophic earthquake and its string of aftershocks that dissolved the entire society. On behalf of Light Path 4 Haiti, I would like to take this moment to personally thank everyone for their great efforts in making the year 2010 Light Path mission trips a success in Haiti. I know everyone has contributed vigorously, some of you by planning fund-raisers, logistics, or by making a call, providing moral and spiritual support, doing advertisement, working on the website, etc… For all that you have done and for all that you are doing to make Light Path mission trips to Haiti possible, I personally would like to thank you on Behalf of Light Path 4 Haiti.

December 22nd to January 1er , 2011 and 2012 is going to be Light Path’s 6th mission trips post the January 12th catastrophic earthquake 2010. During the first 5 trips Light Path was able to provide medical assistance and a month supply of vitamins and medication to well over 16,000 people.

In addition, Light Path also provided a 1-week supply of food to about 27,000 people on the last 2 mission trips. Light Path 4 Haiti is dedicated to further assist the people of Haiti. Light Path’s goal for this trip to be a success need to raise a total of $30,000. The $30,000 will buy 45,000 pounds of rice, 12,000 pounds of beans and 150 gallons of cooking oil, which will supply approximately 28,000 people with much needed food with any balance remaining to go towards healthcare needs. We are hoping you will help Light Path get as close as possible to reaching the goal of raising $30,000, this amount being what we projected goal is for each trip.

I am presenting this personal request to all of our Light Path members, volunteers, colleagues, friends and co-workers in joining hands by pitching in at least $10 or more monthly to help in buying the food supplies and to buy construction materials to build the development center and community health clinic. I am confident that upon reading this you will have an open heart to donate to help the people of Haiti. Our Mission

Our aim is to promote healthcare, develop the areas of technical education and training the Haitian people in order for them to begin the process of rebuilding their lives with a stronger foundation.

Projects

Light Path for Haiti/ Chemin Limye Pou Ayiti was one of the first responders to the recent catastrophe in Haiti.  The organization completed its first medical relief / aid trip to Haiti days after the earthquake that shook the hearts of millions across the globe.  This mission group, consisting of medical staff, psychologists and Bio-Technologists touched the lives of so many survivors.  Over 2,000 injured and homeless Haitians received medical supplies, counseling and much needed medical care.  We continue to plan to provide care for the people of Haiti by organizing and deploying more medical teams and medical supplies to assist in the long term recovery.

Value Statement

'To show Gods love by serving others'
“In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness, and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us” (Titus 2:7-8).
We acknowledge one God. We seek to imitate Jesus’ example in His care and compassion for the poor, the powerless, and those in need. We strive to live according to the application of Christian principles, based on God’s Word.
We value people. We strive to honor God by respecting those we serve, our business partners, those we collaborate with, our sponsors, our volunteers, and ourselves at all times. We regard all people as created and loved by God. We strive to act in ways that respect dignity, uniqueness, and intrinsic worth of every person.
We serve those in need. We hear Jesus’ call to servant hood, and to humility. We come willing to serve and minister to those in need during times of emergencies, personal and natural disasters, to relieve their suffering and to promote the betterment of their well-being. We serve all people regardless of religion, beliefs, race, ethnicity, or gender.
We live by example. We strive to imitate the example of Jesus in meeting the needs of people displaced by personal and natural disasters. We acknowledge that our service is a ministry and this ministry is our expression of how we understand the loving and caring ways of Jesus Christ. We maintain our Christian identity while being sensitive to the diverse contexts in which we express that identity.
We are responsible. We adhere to LIGHT PATH 4 Haiti policies and procedures, and deal responsibly with all at-risk situations. We recognize that the resources at our disposal are not our own, but are a trust from God through donors on behalf of those in need. We speak and act honestly. We are open and factual, transparent in our dealings with sponsors, donors, community response teams, our volunteers, ourselves, governments and the public at large.
